I have the new die to clean up the old stock bolt threads but I don’t think it’ll be quite suitable. I’ll need to get another die that’s adjustable and work the steel in more gradual amounts. I did test it on some aluminium rod and it worked with the nut okay but there’s still a few hundredths of an inch difference in minimum diameter between the old and new threads. Having more control over the die should help refine it more precisely.
